Dhaka: State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj today announced plans to nationally broadcast the creative talents of primary school students. The initiative will showcase skills in singing, dancing, recitation, storytelling, and various cultural activities on television starting next year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made during the prize-giving ceremony of the Dhaka divisional final round of the Primary Education Award-2026. The event, held at PTI in Mirpur, highlighted the government’s commitment to nurturing the talents of young students by providing more platforms for their development.
The state minister emphasized the immense potential of primary school students, noting their impressive performances despite limited resources. He expressed a vision to present these talents to the nation with improved arrangements and attractive prizes to further encourage their growth.
Highlighting the future prospects, Bobby Hajjaj remarked that students are poised to become acclaimed artists and leaders both nationally and internationally. He assured that the government would support the development of their potential through various initiatives and competitions, which would be broadcast on national television to reach a wider audience.
In addition to expanding the scope of prizes, the state minister proposed offering special grants to schools whose students achieve significant awards. This initiative aims to motivate teachers and school authorities to actively contribute to nurturing students’ hidden talents.
Hajjaj also called on education administration officials at various levels to promote cultural and creative activities among students. He urged them to create a vibrant atmosphere in local competitions by involving public representatives, media personnel, and distinguished members of society.
The announcement concluded with the state minister distributing prizes to students who excelled in divisional level competitions, reinforcing the government’s dedication to celebrating and developing young talent.
