Chattogram: A couple was found dead at a hotel in the Foy's Lake area of the Chattogram port city. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Ripon and Sonia, who checked into Royel's Park Hotel on Sunday night, presenting themselves as a married couple.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the hotel authorities became concerned when they received no response from the couple's room. They subsequently informed Kamruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Akbarshah Police Station, who led the recovery of the bodies around 11 am on Monday.
Efforts are being made to ascertain the couple's detailed addresses. Kamruzzaman stated, "It is still unclear how the couple died. However, an investigation is ongoing to unearth the mystery behind the incident."
The bodies have been transported to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy as the investigation continues.
