Rangamati: The birth anniversary of poets Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Sukanta Bhattacharya was observed in the hilly district of Rangamati in a befitting manner.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a discussion meeting and cultural programme were organised by Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigosthi at the Shilpakala Academy auditorium. The event was held under the slogan, 'Let humanity triumph on the path of truth through the flame of consciousness.' Local dignitaries, cultural activists, administrative officers, and a substantial audience attended the programme.
During the event, speakers highlighted the messages of secularism, equality, and humanism that were conveyed through the works of Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Sukanta Bhattacharya. They stressed the importance of upholding these ideals and promoting cultural activities in alignment with them.
The programme concluded with a reception for meritorious students, marking the end of a day dedicated to celebrating the timeless contributions of these literary figures.
