Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday visited different parts of the capital to personally inspect the progress of sacrificial waste removal activities following Eid-ul-Azha.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony stated that Tarique Rahman began his inspection around 4:00pm, driving himself through various routes in the city to assess whether the waste removal operations were being executed effectively.
The Prime Minister commenced his journey from his residence on Gulshan Avenue, traveling through areas such as Gulshan-1, Hatirjheel, Rampura Road, and Malibagh via Abul Hotel. His route continued towards Basabo through Taltala Market, covering significant areas of the city.
Rony detailed that Tarique Rahman’s inspection route also included notable locations such as Kamalapur Stadium, Sayedabad bus terminal, Jatrabari intersection, Dholai Khal, Shaheed Faruk Road, Dayaganj Road, Narinda, and Ray Saheb Bazar intersection.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister traversed through Court Road, Naya Bazar, Bangshal Road, Gulistan, Shahbagh, Elephant Road, and the Dhaka University area, before proceeding towards New Market and Science Laboratory.
The inspection concluded with the Prime Minister traveling through Kalabagan, Mirpur Road, the City College area, Shimanto Square, Jigatala bus stand, Road-27, and finally along Manik Mia Avenue and the Mohakhali area, as reported by the deputy press secretary.
