Paturia: Ferry services between Paturia-Daulatdia have resumed after a one-hour suspension due to a nor’wester affecting the Padma and Jamuna river routes, according to Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat sources.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BIWTC Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager Abdus Salam confirmed that ferry movement resumed at 12:15 pm today following the temporary suspension. All ferries are now operating normally but with caution as the area continues to experience strong winds.
As of the report’s filing at 5:40 pm, there was no rush of vehicles and passengers, Abdus Salam noted.
