Nazrul Inspires PM Tarique Rahman’s Vision for Development: Rizvi

Dhaka: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday highlighted the influence of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s efforts to propel the country towards development. Speaking to reporters after paying tribute at Nazrul’s grave at the University of Dhaka, Rizvi emphasized that Rahman draws significant inspiration from the poet, especially on the occasion of Nazrul’s 127th birth anniversary.



According to United News of Bangladesh, Rizvi underscored the lasting impact of Nazrul’s literary works in the fight against fascism, expressing how Nazrul’s songs and poems provided motivation during challenging times. He shared that during periods of adversity, such as when subjected to remand, Nazrul’s creations were vital sources of strength and resilience.



Rizvi noted that Kazi Nazrul Islam holds an enduring presence in both the national and social spheres. He described the poet as a symbol of rebellion, equality, and humanity, whose works have historically inspired people during various national movements. Rizvi reiterated that Nazrul was a key inspiration in the fight against fascism, and his works continue to motivate the implementation of the government’s electoral promises and national vision.



The BNP leader also mentioned that Nazrul’s legacy would be honored throughout the year during the anniversary celebrations, ensuring that his contributions remain prominent in the country’s cultural and political landscape.
