The French Ambassador expressed his pleasure at the growing interest in the French language among Bangladeshi students. During a recent visit to the Institute of Modern Languages at the University of Dhaka, he engaged with both faculty members and students. The Embassy released a statement on Sunday highlighting the envoy’s enthusiasm.
‘I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the French department and speaking with both the teachers and the students. The French Embassy and its entire team are here to listen to you, and we stand ready to support you within the limits of our means,’ the Ambassador said. He emphasized the global reach of the French language, stating, ‘It is always a pleasure to discover that the French language is not confined to the borders of France. La Francophonie is a large family, bringing together passionate and curious minds from across the globe.’
The envoy encouraged students to immerse themselves in French culture through various mediums. ‘Be curious, read French books and newspapers, watch French films, and listen to French radio. Learning a language means learning about a culture, which is why I encourage you to always combine language learning with cultural discovery,’ he advised.
