Patiya: Two motorcyclists were killed after being struck by a passenger bus at Ansar Camp area in Patiya upazila this afternoon. The victims were identified as Md. Tajlim, aged 17, and Shahadat Hossain Sami, aged 16, both residents of Ward No. 1 of Kachuai Union in the upazila. Another individual named Joy, aged 18, sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident occurred when the three friends were out for a motorcycle ride and were hit by a Hanif Paribahan bus. One of the motorcyclists died on the spot, while the other passed away on the way to Patiya Health Complex. The bus has been seized by locals, and both the motorcycle and bus are now in the custody of the Highway Police, as reported by Patiya Crossing Highway Police OC Md. Harunur Rashid.
