Lakshmipur: A man lost his life in a head-on collision between two battery-powered auto-rickshaws on Hajirhat-Matabbar Hat road in Kamalnagar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased has been identified as 67-year-old Nurul Islam, son of the late Abdur Rashid and a resident of Char Jagabandhu village in Kamalnagar upazila. He was known to earn his livelihood by fishing in the Meghna River. The incident was confirmed by the victim’s nephew, Miraj Hossain.
Officer-in-Charge of Kamalnagar Police Station, Faridul Alam, stated that if the victim’s family files a written complaint, necessary legal action will be taken following an investigation into the accident.
