Dhaka: Land Minister Md Mizanur Rahman Minu emphasized the government's commitment to establishing transparent, corruption-free, and citizen-friendly automated land services across the nation. Addressing the closing ceremony of the Land Service Fair at the Land Bhaban in Tejgaon, he outlined the government's initiatives aimed at transforming the Land Ministry into a fully service-oriented and trusted public institution.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister highlighted ongoing efforts to raise public awareness and reduce harassment in land-related services through automation. He stressed the importance of honesty and dedication in delivering land services and warned that those who adopt a ruler's mentality instead of a service-oriented approach will face strict action. He announced plans to introduce a new bill in parliament to address delays in land-related cases.
The minister also mentioned that all land services are being consolidated into a single platform to enhance service delivery, making it easier, faster, and more transparent for citizens. In his speech, Senior Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed echoed the minister's sentiments, indicating that the government is focused on building a sustainable, modern, and people-friendly land management system through rapid automation. He revealed plans for citizen service centres in 61 districts, modeled on the Land Bhaban service centre, to facilitate nationwide access to land-related services.
