Sirajganj: A woman was killed in a road accident near Dadpur Sahebganj Underpass on the Dhaka-Bogura highway under Raiganj upazila of the district on Thursday morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased was identified as Rabeya Khatun, wife of Kobad Ali, a resident of Dadpur Sahebganj village of the upazila. The accident occurred around 6 am when a tank lorry crushed Rabeya while she was walking along the road, leading to her death on the spot.
Hatikumrul Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Ismail Hossain, confirmed the incident and stated that necessary legal action is being taken.
