Chattogram: State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin has announced that the proposed Land Complaint Management Service aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and provide people-friendly land services. He made this statement during the closing ceremony of the Land Services Fair 2026 held at the Chattogram Circuit House.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mir Helal emphasized that the citizens of the country are the true owners of the state, and it is the responsibility of government officials and employees to treat them with respect, honesty, and sincerity. He highlighted that mass access to online land services is now possible for a small fee through 193 land service support centers across the nation. These centers are also providing digital services to marginalized communities.

Mir Helal noted that the majority of land transactions are currently conducted via the e-payment system. Efforts are ongoing to implement a digital land zoning system to safeguard agricultural and forest lands, ensuring their appropriate utilization. The state minister stressed the importance of public awareness to eliminate corruption and create a broker-free, efficient service environment. By leveraging technology and adopting a people-centric approach, land services are set to become more modern, transparent, and user-friendly.

The event also featured Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Ziauddin as the main speaker, while Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah chaired the ceremony.
