Dhaka: A total of 29 suspected criminals involved in various criminal activities were arrested during special drives conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). ‘They were involved in various crimes under Jatrabari Police Station area,’ said a press release issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media division here today. It said that police produced them before the court.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals are Monirul Islam Rabbi (28), Md Emon (24), Mohammad Oli (34), Md Rokon (26), Md Zahid Hasan (21), Md Firoz Gazi (38), Md Shahadat Hossain Nayon (32), Billal, Rashid, Md Jabed Bepari (42), Julhas Akon (45), Md Shanto (26), Md Naeem (20), Md Zubayer (22), Linkon (37), Salam Mallick, Suraiya Begum, Md Zahirul Islam (24), Md Amir Hossain (29), Anik (22), Md Samrat (35), Md Abu Bakar Talukder (25), Md Arian Islam Arif (29), Md Sabbir alias Bullet (26), Md Alif (19), Md Samir (19), Md Rabiul Islam (28), Md Sohel (23), and Md Abu Saleh Rafi (25).
The DMP media division official stated that these individuals were apprehended after conducting raids in various crime-prone areas. Among the arrestees, seven were under regular cases, seven were under pending cases, three were on arrest warrants, and nine were detained in mobile courts.
