Dhaka: The 14th Services Wrestling Competition, organized by the Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation, is set to commence tomorrow at the Roller Skating Complex in the capital. Jubaidur Rahman Rana, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, is anticipated to inaugurate the two-day event as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the competition will feature participation from 200 athletes. These athletes comprise 10 boys’ teams and an equal number of girls’ teams, representing various service organizations. The competitors will be battling it out across different weight categories.
In preparation for the event, physical and weight verification of the athletes was conducted today at the federation office. This two-day meet is aimed at promoting wrestling among service teams and enhancing the development of competitive sports within the country.
