Dhaka: The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced an upward adjustment in the price of furnace oil, setting it at Taka 113.54 per litre. This new pricing will be effective from midnight.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this adjustment marks a significant increase from the previous rate of Taka 94.69 per litre, which was established on April 12. The BERC has determined the new price by averaging the Platts Rate of Furnace Oil, published between April 13, 2026, and May 12, 2026, along with the Free on Board (FOB) price of imported crude oil in May 2026.
