Rajshahi: A discussion meeting and cheque distribution ceremony for various development projects, organized by Rajshahi Zila Parishad, was held. The event was conducted in the conference room of the Zila Parishad.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was led by Ummay Fatema, Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad, with Advocate Md. Ershad Ali (Isha), Administrator of Rajshahi Zila Parishad, as the chief guest. In his address, the chief guest emphasized the significance of the smaller development projects managed by Rajshahi Zila Parishad, highlighting their crucial role in the overall societal development despite not having large-scale projects.
He further elaborated on the humanitarian responsibilities undertaken by the Zila Parishad, which include providing assistance to the helpless and destitute, supporting meritorious students, and facilitating medical treatment. The chief guest expressed optimism that these assistance activities will persist in the future.
Following the discussion, cheques totaling Taka 21.72 lakh were distributed among 28 beneficiaries. The event was attended by various officials and staff of the Zila Parishad, beneficiaries, and representatives from different institutions.
