Dhaka: All subordinate courts and tribunals across the country will be closed for Eid-ul-Azha vacation from May 25 to May 31. The closure aligns with a nationwide weeklong holiday announced by the government in observance of the festival.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the High Court division issued a notification confirming that the courts will remain open on May 23 and 24 before the vacation period begins. This decision is part of a broader move by the government, which declared a holiday for Eid-ul-Azha from May 25 to May 31.
The government statement issued on May 14 indicated that all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, and private offices throughout the country will observe the holiday. However, emergency services will continue to operate and are not included in the holiday schedule.
