Sudanese Prime Minister Meets President Shahabuddin in London

London: Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris today paid a courtesy call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin, who is currently visiting London, United Kingdom.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the informal meeting took place this morning in the lobby of Hotel Hilton in London. President’s Personal Secretary, Md Didarul Alam, shared details of the meeting, highlighting the cordial atmosphere and mutual respect between the two leaders.



During the meeting, Prime Minister Idris inquired about President Shahabuddin’s health and extended his wishes for a swift recovery. In a gesture of goodwill, the Sudanese leader also prayed for the overall wellbeing of the Bangladeshi people and the President’s good health.



President Shahabuddin reciprocated the warm sentiments, expressing his wishes for peace, welfare, and prosperity for the Sudanese people. He recalled the long-standing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Sudan, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration.



The Sudanese Premier praised President Shahabuddin’s leadership during recent challenging times in Bangladesh and acknowledged the significant role of Bangladeshi UN peacekeepers in Sudan. He expressed his hopes for continued progress and prosperity in Bangladesh.



President Shahabuddin thanked Prime Minister Idris for his sincerity and goodwill, expressing optimism that the existing bilateral ties between the two nations would be further strengthened in the future.
