Dhaka: The government has transferred nine senior assistant secretaries to various districts as additional deputy commissioners (ADCs). ‘The officers will join to their working stations, where they were posted, by May 20 otherwise they will be treated as ‘stand released’ from afternoon on May 20,’ according to gazette notifications.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ministry notifications detail the specific assignments of these officers. Joynal Abedin, senior assistant secretary of the financial institutions division, has been reassigned to Jamalpur as an ADC. Md Iqbal Hasan, previously serving as a senior assistant secretary in the primary and mass education ministry, will now serve in Khagrachari district as an ADC. Irine Akter, who was the deputy director of the directorate of government accommodation in Chattogram, is moving to Rangamati district as an ADC.
Further transfers include Abu Russel, senior assistant secretary of the industries ministry, who is appointed as ADC in Cox’s Bazar district. Ayesha Siddiqua, formerly the deputy director of the Bangladesh food safety authority, is now assigned to Naogaon as ADC. Mahbub Hasan, once a deputy director of implementation, monitoring, and evaluation division (IMED), will serve in Lakhipur district as ADC.
Additionally, Rezwana Kabir, the deputy director of the bureau of manpower employment and training, has been moved to Gopalganj as ADC. Minhazul Islam, deputy director of IMED, is appointed to Chapainawabganj as ADC, and Mofizur Rahman, deputy director of the Bangladesh public service commission, will assume the role of ADC in Sherpur.
These orders, issued in the public interest, are effective immediately to ensure smooth administrative operations across these districts.
