Feni: A man and his son lost their lives, and another individual sustained injuries following a collision involving a bus and a motorcycle on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Hafezia in the Sadar upazila of Feni district.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the deceased were identified as Nur Alam, an ambulance driver at Feni Diabetic Hospital, and his son Nirob, both from Rajapur village in Sonagazi upazila. The tragic incident took place around 9 am when a high-speed bus collided with the motorcycle they were riding, resulting in the immediate death of Nur Alam and injuries to two others, as reported by Asadul Islam, officer-in-charge of Mohipal Highway Police Station.
Nirob succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Feni Sadar Hospital. His cousin, Afzal Mithu, who was also injured in the accident, was subsequently taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
The police responded promptly to the incident, seizing both the bus and the motorcycle. However, the driver of the bus managed to escape, and no arrests have been made so far.
