No Alternative to Training for Lawyers’ Skill Enhancement: Asaduzzaman

Khulna: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman emphasized the necessity of training to enhance the professional skills of lawyers. He highlighted that training programs would soon be organized in all district bar associations nationwide, supported by a British organization. The minister underscored the importance of developing competent and skilled lawyers as a prerequisite for producing capable judges.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Asaduzzaman made these remarks while addressing a reception and orientation program for newly enrolled lawyers at the Khulna District Bar Association auditorium. He addressed young lawyers, stressing that an independent judiciary, free from external influences, is crucial for establishing justice in the country. The minister further stated that transforming the judiciary into an institution of dignity would strengthen democracy, the rule of law, and human rights in Bangladesh.



The minister called upon lawyers to maintain honesty, dedication, and professional competence and to avoid unethical practices. The event also featured speeches from KCC Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju, Member of Parliament Amir Ejaz Khan, Advocate Jahangir Hossain Helal, Senior District and Sessions Judge Chand Mohammad Abdul Aleem Al Razi, and Deputy Commissioner Hoore Jannat. The program was presided over by the President of the district bar association, Advocate Molla Mohammad Masum Rashid, and conducted by General Secretary Advocate Molla Mashiur Rahman Nannu.



Earlier in the day, the minister attended an introductory meeting with judicial officials at the Khulna District Judge Court’s conference room as the chief guest.
