Rajshahi: A seminar titled 'Campus to Career Talk-2026' was held today at North Bengal International University (NBIU) here. The Department of Political Science and the Democracy Practice Centre (DPC) jointly organised the seminar, where Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, attended as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton distributed prizes among students who won quizzes and merit scholarships during the seminar. NBIU Vice-Chancellor Professor Sayedur Rahman extended floral greetings and presented a crest of honor to the RCC Administrator.
In his speech, Mahfuzur Rahman Riton remarked on the ongoing efforts of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in implementing various electoral pledges. He expressed a vision of elevating Bangladesh to a unique height on the world stage under the Prime Minister's leadership. He also spoke about transforming Rajshahi city into a greener, more beautiful, healthier, and 'city of flowers'.
The RCC Administrator emphasized the importance of skills, leadership qualities, and practical experience alongside formal education in today's competitive world. He urged young people to develop into skilled human resources by acquiring up-to-date knowledge.
The seminar was presided over by NBIU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Sayedur Rahman, with a welcome address delivered by Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Maksudur Rahman. Special guest Professor Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Political Science at Rajshahi University, and guest of honor Professor Dr. Farhat Tasnim from the Department of Political Science, RU, also attended. Concluding remarks were delivered by Afroza Akhter, Head of the Department of Political Science.
The event was attended by NBIU Treasurer Professor Md. Ansar Uddin, along with university teachers, students, invited guests, and representatives from various departments.
