Jamalpur: A 29-year-old man was killed by a lightning strike in Dewanganj upazila here in the district this afternoon. The victim was identified as Sohel, son of Shukur Mahmud at village Najirpur in the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police reported that Sohel was working at a maize field in the area when he was hit by a strong thunderbolt, resulting in his immediate death at the scene. Dewanganj Model Police Station Office-in-Charge Anowar Hossain confirmed the incident, providing further details on the tragic occurrence.
