MPA Officers’ Association Convene for AGM and Reunion

Khalishpur: The general meeting and reunion of the Officers’ Association of the Mongla Port Authority, established in 1993, took place on May 2 at the Port Auditorium in Khalishpur. The event was held in a festive atmosphere, bringing together officers and their families for a day of discussions and celebrations.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was presided over by the association’s President, Sheikh Showkat Ali. Key figures in attendance included General Secretary Md. Sohel Rana, Vice Presidents Md. Mahfuzur Rahman and Mehefuzur Rahman, as well as Joint General Secretaries Dr. Matiur Rahman and Md. Makruzzaman. Cultural Secretary Shirin Afroz Anu, Organising Secretary Mong Kamrul Islam Kawsar, Treasurer Md. Niamur Rahman, and member Md. Bazlur Rahman were also present.



The participating officials of the Mongla Port Authority engaged in discussions focusing on future plans and strategies for the association, as well as addressing various demands of the officers. The meeting provided a platform for exchanging ideas and setting objectives for the coming years.



After the formal session, a reunion and cultural programme were organized, allowing family members of the officials to join in the festivities. The event highlighted the sense of community and camaraderie among the officers, marking another successful gathering for the association.
