Lalmonirhat: Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu, MP, today emphasized that the development of a skyway is crucial for the nation's future prosperity. He expressed optimism that the day is approaching when aircraft manufactured by the country's young talents will be seen soaring in the skies.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at the 7th founding anniversary programme of Aviation and Aerospace University. The event took place at its temporary campus located at Lalmonirhat Airport, as mentioned in a PID release.
The minister further expressed hope that Bangladesh will eventually launch satellites from its own space center, with the nation's gifted generation achieving remarkable advancements in space research. He also assured that efforts would be made to expedite the establishment of the university's permanent campus.
The event was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman. The celebration began with the minister inaugurating the anniversary programme by releasing balloons and pigeons, followed by a visit to various exhibitions that showcased the innovative ideas of the students.
The Aviation and Aerospace University Bangladesh, established in 2019, currently enrolls approximately 600 students across four departments.
