Khulna: The newly elected committee of the Khulna Press Club formally assumed responsibility at a ceremony held on Friday evening. Newly elected President Md. Mostofa Sarwar and General Secretary Md. Tarikul Islam received charge from outgoing interim committee Convener Enamul Haque and Member Secretary Rafiul Islam Tutul.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the handover ceremony took place at the Humayun Kabir Balu Auditorium of the press club. Among those present were Vice-Presidents Soharab Hossain and Md. Zahidul Islam, Treasurer Bimal Saha, Joint Secretary Md. Bellal Hossain Sojol, Sports and Cultural Secretary Mohammad Milan, and Library, Publication and ICT Secretary Bashir Hossain.
Executive members Md. Maksudur Rahman Maksud, Kazi Motahar Rahman, Mahendranath Sen, Sohel Mahmud, and K M Ziaus Sadat were also present at the ceremony, marking the official transition of responsibilities to the newly elected committee.
