Remittance Inflow in Bangladesh Surges by 14.6% in Early April

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances in Bangladesh showed a significant year-on-year growth of 14.6 percent, reaching $2,578 million in the first 25 days of April, as per the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank today. This marks a considerable increase from the $2,251 million recorded during the same period last year.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, over the current fiscal year, from July to April 25, 2026, expatriates have sent remittances totaling $28,787 million. This is a notable rise from the $24,036 million remitted during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. The data underscores the growing contribution of overseas workers to the nation’s economy.
