Dhaka: State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj announced today that the government is prioritizing the recruitment of qualified and competent teachers to ensure quality education at the primary level. He emphasized that all necessary steps are being taken in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations to facilitate this process. This statement was made during a meeting with a seven-member delegation of recommended candidates for the post of assistant teachers at his office in the Secretariat.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a significant number of primary school teachers have been protesting at Shahbagh in the capital, demanding their appointment letters. The delegation, during their meeting with the minister, urged him to expedite the issuance of their appointment letters and highlighted the current situation faced by the candidates.
During the discussion, Bobby Hajjaj reassured that the recruitment process for primary school teachers is proceeding as per the rules and regulations. He assured that each stage of the process would be completed properly and that the recruitment would be finalized accordingly.
Hajjaj called upon the protesters to have confidence in the ongoing recruitment process and to suspend their movement to avoid causing public inconvenience. He urged them to exercise patience and restraint and to return to their respective destinations.
