Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon today announced that the government has initiated efforts to develop a new framework aimed at balancing media freedom with journalistic objectivity. He made these remarks during a program celebrating the 35th founding anniversary of The Daily Star held in the capital.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Minister Swapon highlighted the significant challenges currently faced by the country’s media sector, emphasizing that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is actively working to address these issues. He expressed optimism that all media outlets in Bangladesh would advance through responsible, ethical, and objective journalism.
