Rajshahi: A drill on fire extinguishing, rescue, and emergency evacuation was conducted at the head office premises of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB). The event was a joint effort by the Engineering, Procurement and Maintenance Department of RAKUB and the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the drill aimed to implement effective measures to prevent fire accidents and increase awareness among the staff. A controlled fire was set up with active participation from officers and employees to evaluate the efficiency of the Fire Detection, Alarm, and Fire Protection systems.
The drill saw the presence of several key figures including the bank’s Managing Director Golam Murtuza, General Manager Taj Uddin Ahmed, and Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence Farhad Hossain. Also attending were departmental heads from all divisions of the head office, the Training Institute, the Local Principal Office in Rajshahi, officers and employees from various levels of the headquarters, and relevant officials from the Fire Service.
