Dhaka: The government has officially designated November 7 as National Revolution and Solidarity Day, to be observed annually with significance and formal recognition. The decision underscores the importance of the day in the national calendar.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Cabinet Division released a circular on Tuesday, bearing the signature of Deputy Secretary (General Branch) Tania Afroz. The circular confirms that the day has now been added to the list of Category-A national observances, ensuring its celebration at the highest level of the state.

The decision aligns with a previous circular issued by the Cabinet Division on March 11, 2026, which initially proposed the inclusion of National Revolution and Solidarity Day in the Category-A observances list. This classification means that the day will receive significant attention and resources from the government.

The circular further instructed relevant ministries, divisions, and agencies to undertake the necessary actions for the effective implementation of this decision, ensuring that the observance is carried out in a manner befitting its status.
