Dhaka: French Ambassador to Bangladesh Jean-Marc S©r©-Charlet has emphasized France's willingness to assist Bangladesh in its ongoing modernisation efforts, while also commending the nation's active participation in UN peacekeeping missions. During a recent meeting, the ambassador highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the defence sector.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Ambassador S©r©-Charlet met with Lieutenant General Mir Mushfiqur Rahman, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, at his office. Their discussions covered various aspects of defence cooperation, including peacekeeping operations, training initiatives, and the modernisation of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. The French Embassy in Dhaka noted that the ambassador reaffirmed France's commitment to strengthening bilateral defence ties.
