According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister went to the hospital this evening and enquired about the physical condition of the injured physician. Dr. Ahmed Hossain, aged 50, was attacked while returning home after office hours.
Sources reveal that 2-3 unidentified assailants stabbed him in his right hand and back in an alley behind the old BRAC University campus on that afternoon and fled the scene. He is currently undergoing treatment at the National Cancer Hospital.
