Dhaka: Bangla Fact, the fact-checking team of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), has uncovered a propaganda effort involving a fake photocard featuring Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed. The photocard falsely claims that Osman Hadi’s grave has been relocated and that entry to the site has been banned indefinitely.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the claim regarding the relocation of Osman Hadi’s grave and the indefinite ban on entry has been identified as false. An investigation by the Bangla Fact team revealed that the photocard, which is circulating on social media, inaccurately attributes these claims to Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed.
Bangla Fact’s verification process confirmed that Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed did not make any statement regarding the relocation of the grave or an indefinite ban on entry. Additionally, no credible media sources have substantiated these claims.
Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Proctor of Dhaka University, has also stated that the information is incorrect and that no such directive has been issued.
