Antalya: Bangladesh and Trkiye today emphasized the need to enhance trade and investment cooperation and to expand collaboration on regional and global platforms. This development arose during a meeting between Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir and Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Trkiye. The discussions covered a wide range of mutual interests, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and boosting economic engagement.
The Foreign Affairs Adviser highlighted the importance of deepening the longstanding and friendly ties between Bangladesh and Trkiye, which are based on shared values, mutual respect, and strategic cooperation. Ekinci expressed Trkiye’s strong interest in enhancing relations with Bangladesh, particularly in economic partnership, development cooperation, and people-to-people connectivity. She also acknowledged Bangladesh’s socio-economic progress.
Key regional and international developments were also discussed, with both parties stressing the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and multilateral cooperation in addressing global challenges. The meeting was characterized by a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the growing partnership between the two nations.
Both countries expressed optimism about the future trajectory of their bilateral relations and agreed to maintain regular high-level engagements.
