Dhaka: Prime Minister’s Press Secretary AAM Saleh Shibly has declared that the BNP government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has successfully garnered public trust within just two months of taking office. He identified this achievement as the government’s most significant milestone to date.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shibly made these remarks during a press conference held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Tejgaon. The briefing was organized to showcase the key accomplishments of the government during its initial two months in power.

Shibly emphasized the government’s dedication to fulfilling its electoral promises, stating that the prime minister is actively working to meet all commitments made to the public during the national election campaign. He highlighted that BNP candidates had engaged extensively with voters, outlining their agenda, which included a 31-point plan.

He further elaborated that voters have the right to evaluate whether their elected officials are delivering on these promises and to hold them accountable. Addressing concerns over misinformation, the press secretary cautioned against efforts to mislead the public through artificial intelligence and social media platforms.

Shibly underscored the importance of informed citizens, asserting that well-informed individuals are less likely to be misled. He also stressed the crucial role of responsible journalism in ensuring the dissemination of accurate information, helping the public to differentiate between truth and falsehood.
