Dhaka: Cultural affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury today expressed hope that the country’s lost glory can be recovered with proper leadership. He emphasized the potential for Bangladesh to regain its stature as the best in South Asia through effective guidance and leadership.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest on the first day of a five-day program series organized by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The event was held to celebrate the Chaitra Sankranti and the Bangla Nababarsha. As part of the festivities, he inaugurated an exhibition showcasing Bangladeshi folk art at the academy’s National Art Gallery building.
Following the inauguration, Nitai Roy Chowdhury attended the academy’s Chaitra Sankranti programs from the open stage. He also touched upon the arrangements for Pahela Baishakh, stating that the New Year’s celebration is deeply rooted in the country’s agrarian culture. He remarked on the historical significance of Bangladesh as a destination for tourists and sages, and expressed optimism that the nation’s past setbacks would be overcome.
