Mymensingh: Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of renowned journalist ASM Habibullah. In a message of condolence, the information minister recalled his contribution to journalism that brought for him great honour in the community. “In his death, the country has lost a committed and professional journalist,” he said. Swapon also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, ASM Habibullah died of old-age complications at his Mymensingh residence today at the age of 91.
