Dhaka: The Independence Awards 2026 ceremony has been rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances, according to an official announcement. The prestigious event, initially planned for April 9 at 4:00 pm, will now occur on April 16, 2026, at the same time and venue, the Osmani Memorial auditorium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, authorities have confirmed that no new invitation cards will be issued for the revised date. Individuals who have already received invitations for the April 9 ceremony are requested to attend the ceremony on April 16 using their existing invitations.
The Independence Award is the highest state honor, recognizing outstanding contributions to the country in various fields.
