Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday attended a doa mahfil seeking salvation for the departed soul of Dilara Hafiz, wife of Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram. The doa mahfil was held at the mosque of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban after Maghrib prayers, said a PMO release.
According to United News of Bangladesh, MPs from both the treasury bench and the opposition, including Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Shafiqur Rahman, attended the doa mahfil. A munajat was offered seeking salvation for the departed soul of Dilara Hafiz who died in a Singapore hospital on March 28.
