BNP Committed to Systematic Implementation of July National Charter: Dr Zahid

Dinajpur: Minister for Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs, Prof. Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, announced today that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is advancing systematically to implement the July National Charter. The charter, signed at the South Plaza of the National Parliament, is regarded by the BNP as a national document deserving of respect and careful implementation.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Zahid made these remarks during a cheque distribution ceremony for capitation grants at orphanages and shelters, organized by the Dinajpur District Administration and the District Social Services Office. He emphasized that the BNP is committed to implementing the charter and fulfilling each promise made in its election manifesto. Dr. Zahid noted that governance should be guided by established rules, policies, and institutional frameworks, rather than emotion.



Dr. Zahid acknowledged the significance of the Liberation War of 1971 and the sacrifices made in 1990 and 2024, asserting that the BNP values the 17 years of efforts and sacrifices made by the people for democracy. He further emphasized that BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is dedicated to fulfilling pre-election promises and that the party is focused on advancing its commitments.



He assured that the BNP is a party that honors its promises and remains committed to the welfare and development of the country.



The event, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Md. Rafiqul Islam, was also addressed by Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad Md. Akhtaruzzaman Mia, Parliament member Md. Sadiq Riaz Chowdhury Pinak, District Council Administrator Adv. Mofazzal Hossain Dulal, and President of Dinajpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries Md. Abu Bakkar Siddiq, among others.



During the ceremony, cheques totaling nearly Taka 3.69 crore were distributed among 106 institutions in the district by the Ministry of Social Welfare. Among the recipients were 104 orphanages and two Hindu ashrams, with the funds allocated for supporting food expenses for 3,024 children and 24 residents of the ashrams.
