Home Ministry Conducts Budget Review Meeting on ADP Progress

Dhaka: The Home Ministry today held a monthly budget review meeting under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the fiscal year 2025-26. The meeting took place at the Secretariat (Room No. 208, Building No. 08, 3rd Floor) and was chaired by Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry, Manzur Morshed Chowdhury.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Assistant Secretary (Planning-3 Section) Md Saiful Islam confirmed the occurrence of the meeting. The primary agenda was to ensure effective monitoring and timely execution of development initiatives at various departments under the ministry’s jurisdiction, including the Department of Immigration and Passports, Department of Narcotics Control, Department of Fire Service and Civil Defence, and the Department of Prisons. These departments have already approved their respective ADP budgets for the current fiscal year.

The meeting also reviewed the progress made on decisions taken in the previous meeting held on February 26. Participants approved the minutes of that meeting and assessed the implementation status of the adopted resolutions, ensuring continued alignment with the ministry’s development goals.
