Fatullah: Police have recovered a foreign-made pistol, a magazine, and seven rounds of bullets in an abandoned condition beside a road in Fatullah upazila today. The recovery occurred around 12 pm near the Shaheed Ria Gope Cricket Stadium, also known as Ramarbagh Stadium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police sources revealed that the operation was led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Ferdousur Rahman Iman of Fatullah Model Police Station. The team conducted a search in front of Royal Garments near the stadium after receiving a tip-off. During the operation, they found the foreign-made pistol, magazine, and bullets lying abandoned beside the road.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fatullah Model Police Station, Abdul Mannan, confirmed the incident and stated that police have launched an investigation to identify the source of the weapons and those involved. He also mentioned that legal action is underway in this connection.
In a bid to curb the activities of criminal groups, police have intensified surveillance in the Riagop Stadium area.
