President Shahabuddin Commences Four-Day Visit to Hometown Pabna

Pabna: President Mohammed Shahabuddin arrived at his hometown Pabna on a four-day official visit today. The helicopter, carrying the President and his entourage, including family members, landed at Shaheed Advocate Amin Uddin Stadium Helipad from Dhaka at 12:40 pm.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Pabna-5 (Sadar) constituency MP Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas received the President with a bouquet of flowers, as confirmed by President Press Secretary Md Sarwar Alam. Among those present were Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner ANM Bazlur Rashid, Rajshahi Range DIG Md. Shahjahan, Pabna Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shahed Mustafa, Superintendent of Police Anwar Zahid, District BNP Convener Habibur Rahman Habib, Pabna Press Club President Akhtaruzzaman Akhtar, and General Secretary Zahurul Islam.



Upon his arrival at the Pabna Circuit House, President Shahabuddin was accorded a formal guard of honor and participated in a courtesy call with local politicians and civil society members. This marks his first visit to Pabna since the BNP-Government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, took office. The Pabna district administration, along with other law enforcement agencies, has implemented intensified security measures for his visit.



During the visit, the President will offer doa at the graves of his parents at Arifpur Graveyard in Pabna Sadar at 11:10 am tomorrow. He is scheduled to hold a meeting with journalists at the Pabna Press Club at 7 pm, followed by a return to the Circuit House at 8:10 pm, where he will spend the night.



On Monday, President Shahabuddin will visit Bhabanipur Mosque in Sadar Upazila at 11 am and his Pabna city residence at 7 pm, before returning to the Circuit House at 9 pm for the night. On Tuesday, he will receive a guard of honor at Circuit House at 11:40 am, arrive at the helipad at Pabna Cadet College ground at 12 noon, and depart Pabna for Bangabhaban by helicopter.
