Dhaka: Deputy Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Barrister Kayser Kamal and Chief Whip Md Nurul Islam today paid tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. In the morning, they honored the late leaders by placing wreaths at their graves located in the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area of the city.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Deputy Speaker and Chief Whip observed a moment of silence at the gravesites and offered Fateha and supplications, seeking forgiveness for the departed souls. The tribute was attended by senior officials of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat, among others, who were present to honor the memory of the two influential figures in Bangladesh's political history.
