Chattogram: Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has stated that this year's Eid celebration holds a special significance in the current democratic setting. He highlighted the importance of freedom of speech and political rights, which are fostering a sense of unity and love during the festive period.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Amir Khasru shared these thoughts with journalists after attending the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Darus Salam Jame Mosque near his residence in Uttar Kattali. The minister emphasized that the true joy of Eid is realized in a free and democratic environment. He noted that the democratic atmosphere in the country has eradicated fear and restored democratic rights for all citizens, allowing them to celebrate Eid harmoniously.
Chowdhury expressed his vision for a united and inclusive future for Bangladesh, one where there is no discrimination. He extended his wishes for everyone to enjoy the Eid festivities together, underscoring the importance of upholding constitutional, democratic, and political rights in the process.
