Dhaka: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, five Eid jamaats were held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque today. The Eid congregations were at 7:00 am, 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, and 10:45 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Maulana Mizanur Rahman, Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, led the first congregation. The second congregation was led by Mufti Muhibbullahil Baqi Nadvi, Pesh Imam of the mosque. Maulana Md. Zakir Hossain, Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation, led the third jamaat, while Maulana Zobayer Ahmed Al Azhari, Religious Instructor at the Imam Training Academy, led the fourth. The fifth and final congregation was led by Mufti Maulana Mohammad Abdullah of the Islamic Foundation.
After offering prayers, the Muslims exchanged greetings at the prayer venues with each other.
