Dhaka: The government has designated LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to handle parliamentary affairs in the House when Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is absent.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will carry out his duties within the Prime Minister’s office during the 13th national parliament. However, should the Prime Minister be unavailable, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will assume these responsibilities. This change of responsibility was announced in a gazette notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday, signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani.
The notification stated that the order is to take immediate effect, ensuring that parliamentary affairs continue seamlessly in the absence of the Prime Minister.
