Fire at Ukhia Rohingya Camp Doused

Ukhia: A fire that broke out at a Rohingya camp in Ukhia on Sunday noon was brought under control shortly after it started. According to United News of Bangladesh, the fire originated at the office of NGO Caritas in D Block of Camp-4 in Ukhia around noon, as stated by Ukhia Fire Service Station Officer Dollar Tripura.



Firefighters rushed to the spot upon receiving information and managed to control the blaze with the help of members of the camp’s APBN, volunteers, and local residents. However, a storeroom of Caritas containing various goods was gutted in the fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated, he added.
