Kushtia: A female teacher from the Social Welfare department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia was brutally hacked to death in her office on Wednesday, allegedly by an employee of the same department. The suspect, identified as Fazlur Rahman, reportedly attempted suicide and was found with his throat slit at the scene.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the victim, Assistant Professor Asma Sadia Runa, who also served as the chairperson of the Social Welfare department, was declared dead by Dr. Imam Hossain, the Resident Medical Officer at Kushtia General Hospital, upon arrival in the afternoon.
